As we prepare to embrace the adventures of 2024, here are the top 5 ways to ensure your family and student are ready for a successful January 2024:
1. Rest and Recharge:
Take advantage of these final days before students return on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 by allowing them to rest and recharge. Creating a calm and rejuvenating environment at home will help students seamlessly ease back into their routines.
2. Academic Quarter End & Schoolmax Check:
The 2nd academic quarter concludes on Friday, January 19, 2024. It’s crucial for parents and students to review grades on Schoolmax regularly. Address any errors or missing grades by encouraging your student to promptly reach out to their respective teachers. Remember to check Schoolmax weekly for ongoing updates and progress.
3. Lunch Account Management:
Verify and update your student’s lunch account status. Visit MySchoolbucks to ensure the account is properly funded. If there’s a deficit, please bring the account up to date. If your family seeks assistance with your lunch balance, please reach out to your student’s administrator.
4. Support Our Teachers and Students:
Reach out to your student’s teachers to offer assistance with supplies, volunteering, or any other support they may need. Some teachers often provide more than academic resources; they stock essentials like hygiene products and more. Let’s join hands to support them in nurturing our children.
5. Save the Date for an Exciting Event:
Mark your calendars for an exhilarating event happening on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Benjamin Tasker Middle School! Stay tuned for more information about “Ballin’ with the Badge,” coming your way on January 1, 2024.

Join us at Benjamin Tasker MS on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 6:00 pm to watch the Girls take on Walker Mill MS, followed by the Boys’ game against Benjamin Foulois MS at 7:00 pm.
